If you are energetic and hard working we may be looking for you! Safe Ride is open from 6:30 PM until 1:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, and is free to students.

Please fill out the application (linked below) and place it in the application box at the ASUA front desk. A mandatory volunteer training period must be completed before a decision is made on hiring. If you have any questions, please call 621-7233 or visit the ASUA office (located above the bookstore).

ASUA Safe Ride primarily consists of three different positions. Each employees is expected to learn how to perform each position.

• The DISPATCHER is required to assign drivers to pickups over the radio. It is important for dispatchers to know the campus area and be able to group pickups geographically and chronologically. Patience is essential to complete this job effectively.
   

• DRIVERS for ASUA Safe Ride must have both a good driving record and knowledge of the campus area and adjacent streets. Knowledge of the entire service area is not prerequisite for applying.
   

• The TELEPHONE OPERATOR must have good communication and customer service skills. Treating all patrons with respect and the highest level of quality service is absolutely essential.
